When you know and believe the power of your thoughts, you become very careful what you think about.
Our brain is always turned on -- like a tape that’s running 24/7. And we have two voices on that tape. One voice protects and nurtures us and tells us how well we’re doing and how great we can become which I like to refer to as our Spirit. The other voice, which I call our
Gremlin, is judgmental and negative. It reminds us of all the times we failed and convinces us that we just don’t measure up. Unfortunately, our Gremlin talks the loudest and it’s the voice we listen to and believe.
Now, I want you to imagine that your brain is like a computer, and all of those messages are programs that your brain – your very own personal computer – has received. A computer can’t tell the difference between good and bad programming. It just takes in the programming and acts on it. Your brain operates the same way. It takes in the programming, good or bad, and acts on it. Just like a computer, your brain doesn’t edit the messages that it’s programmed with.
What you think about is what expands in your life. Unless you reprogram your computer – unless you put different information into your brain, the old programming will stay there forever. And, it will continue to affect everything you do and everything you become. Start now to reprogram years of negative information. Change your self-talk and you will change your life.
IT IS ALL IN YOUR HEAD!
