A million times "I'm sorry" can never erase the scars.
stupid", "You're ugly", "You never do anything right", "Nobody likes you", etc., and while saying these things, crumble the paper into a wad. Next, they smooth the paper out while apologizing for the hurtful things just said. Then I ask the big question..."Has the paper changed?"
Of course it has...it is creased and can never be made completely smooth again. This illustrates what happens to us when people (including our inner voice) say hurtful things to us. No matter how sincere the apology, "I'm sorry" can never erase the wounds we've suffered.
Think before you speak. Words once uttered can never be recalled.
