Everyday is Beautiful!
This quote was sent to me on Facebook, and I like it...it speaks to who I am and what I believe:
"A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. When you wake up, take a second to think about what a privilege it is to simply be alive and healthy. The moment you start acting like life is a blessing, I assure you it will start to feel like one. Time spent appreciating is time worth living."
So many of us, when the alarm goes off, throw the covers over our head and wish we didn't have to do whatever it is we have planned for the day. When your day starts off that way, how do you think it's going to continue?
What if, when the alarm goes off, your first thought is "Today is a beautiful day"? What I have found is that you set the tone for your day...either positive or negative...by your first thoughts.
Give it a try. For the next three weeks (the time it takes to set a new habit), make your first thought something positive..."Today is a good day", "I love myself and my life", "I am happy today". Or make up your own thought. Carry it through your day like a mantra. Anytime you feel yourself getting sucked into the vortex of negativity, stop...take a deep breath and exhale slowly...and repeat your phrase. It will work wonders to improve your outlook.
